Updated Speaking of Translation recordings page
Eve Bodeux and I co-host an occasional–meaning: whenever a topic strikes us and we have time to cover it!–series of podcasts and conference calls, entitled Speaking of Translation. We have a page of recordings that goes back to 2008–in case you missed the ATA conference in Orlando!–and the technological back-end is now completely updated.
A few of the recordings were expired, and we’ve now migrated all of them directly to the Speaking of Translation site so that you can stream them right from that page. We’re working on ideas for an episode that would follow up on our “freelance sabbaticals abroad” call, and we’ll let you know when it’s happening!
For now, feel free to hop on over to the Speaking of Translation site for audio coverage of:
- Freelance sabbaticals abroad
- Jost Zetzsche answering all of your translation technology questions
- Insider tips for a successful freelance business
- Leveraging international payment methods to keep the most money in your pocket
And more! If you listen to one of the episodes, let us know what you think!
Thanks, Corinne, for the back end. I know we are both excited that people can still hear the older recordings and that we were able to preserve them. The various interviews we conducted with individuals in the industry still contain a lot of relevant information. And, of course, we had such a blast making all the recordings, I am so glad we can keep them available for future reference.
Looks (and sounds) interesting. Good luck!
Hi Corinne,
I’ve recently discovered your blog as I take my first steps out of the agency world and into freelancing. It’s proving extremely helpful! And I love this recordings page – sometimes after a long day in front of a heavy German text, it’s difficult to keep reading, so getting audio translation tips is ideal!
I’m looking forward to listening to them all.
Thanks for the great work.
Jen
